27th Jan - Intermediate/Advanced Level - 'Hills' Session for Skate Skiers

    1000hrs - 1200hrs

To climb hills on skate skis, you use a technique called skate 1 - and when you get it right, hills suddenly feel easy! In fact, our goal for this session is to have you climbing without poles. You start to love the ups as you feel the power created by great body position and strong movement. We focus on legs and hips to help you conquer climbs with confidence, and we also spend a little time on descents so you can enjoy the downs just as much as the ups.

Previous experience required: You should have previous experience on hills, both ascent and descent. You are most likely someone who has already had a winter on skate skis. You should be curious to improve technique to make hills enjoyable and something to relish!

Meeting Point: Beside the Biathlon Range on Desert Blanc
27th Jan - Intermediate/Advanced Level - 'Hills' Session for 'Classic' Cross-country skiers

    1245hrs - 1445hrs

Hills are an inevitable part of any skate ski season, and knowing how to handle them makes your day on the snow so much more enjoyable. You'll learn how to position your hips and shift your weight to power yourself smoothly up the climbs—embrace the uphill and learn to love it! And of course, mastering the downhills is just as important. We'll work on controlling speed and direction, exploring when to stay in the tracks, when to step out, and even when to go halfway. With the right skills, every hill becomes part of the fun!

Previous experience required: You should have previous experience on hills, both ascent and descent.
