19th Feb - XC Improver Level - 'Classic' Style

10:00hrs - 12:00hrs <br><br>Maybe you joined us on a beginners session or two and are ready to recap and level up, or you've had a few days on cross-country skis and want a fresh pair of eyes on your technique, this session is perfect for you. We will help you build confidence, polish your skills, and keep your progress moving forward.<br><br>Previous experience required: You have already been on our sessions or already spent a few days on the trails with classic skis. <br><br>Meeting Point<br>Our classes meet at the ticket office at Maison Nordique, 51 Av. de la Plage, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. We meet inside the ticket office, upstairs. Classes will begin promptly, please be on time.

14th Feb - BLUE RUNNERS AFTERNOON- Tech Sess

Join Rach on this session designed to tune you up and get you moving with more confidence on the mountain<br><br>Come ski with some like-minded ladies at the same ski level.<br>This session is for those who are comfortable on all blues and want to push towards skiing reds comfortably too.<br><br>DATE: 14th Jan<br>TIMINGS: 1pm -4pm<br>SKILL LEVEL: You ski blues you want pushed skiing reds. <br>MEETING POINT: Tbc depending on conditions in Chamonix Valley. Details will be emailed before the course starts. Transport to and from session is your responsibility :)<br>Ladies cancellation within 48 hours = No Refund or Roll over.

15th FEB - COULOIR SKIING - CHAM

Karen Bockel, Mountain Guide, + 6 ladies on a couloir explore and training. This is designed to give you some exposure and understanding about skiing couloirs. <br><br>BASELINE SKI LEVEL: If unsure about your ability drop us an email before booking<br>•⁠ ⁠Minimum level, black run skier, who's confident skiing off piste in mixed conditions, weight on downhill ski, strong pole plant.<br>•⁠ ⁠Need to be confident linking turns in steep narrow terrain consistently. <br>•⁠ ⁠Looking to push yourself in tighter terrain and gain confidence.<br>•⁠ ⁠Touring up fittness- Already confident in steeper terrain using kick turns, looking to develop that further and learn tips for steeper terrain skiing.<br><br>Highlights:<br>- Techniques for touring and skiing steeper terrain <br>- Working in the terrain (couloir approach and entry)<br>- Rope Work (Karen will provide rope)<br>- Managing the environment (steep backcountry and couloir conditions)<br><br>Equipment required:<br>- Touring kit<br>- Ice Axe<br>- Ski couteux <br><br>Location: TBC Cham.<br>Timings: Morning - Late Afternoon TBC <br><br>Weather and conditions will determine exactly where and what is possible on the day<br>Read our cancellation policy. 22nd FEB - Time to Take the Lead in the Mountains - Mountain Skills

Deciding where to go skiing is often the hardest part! Join us to build your understanding of using the weather forecast and your knowledge of conditions and terrain to decide where to ski and find the best snow!<br>We’ll use a day on skis with our IMFGA female mountain guide Ulrika Asp to look at navigation, route decisions and safe travel techniques in avalanche terrain. The aim is to build your confidence enabling you to take the lead both up and downhill rather than just follow, find all the good snow and get the most out of your days in the mountains.<br><br>Date: 22th February <br>Time: 8.30am – 5ish pm<br>Location: Cham or neighbouring resorts. TBC<br>Ski Level: Comfortable on and off-piste with previous ski touring experience, not a high fitness level this day will be a short journeys with lots of workshops along the way.<br>Equipment: Ski touring set up, transceiver, shovel and probe, backpack, warm layers, picnic, water, thermos. 6th - 7th MARCH - Intro to ski touring Course

Always wanted to give 'skinning' a go. Then come join us to learn all the basics and get out there on a journey. We'll cover how all the kit works, how to skin efficiently and kick turn, and how to plan your tour by looking at the weather and conditions.<br>TIME: 9AM - 4PM (ish)<br>SKI LEVEL: Comfortable on red runs and off-piste. No previous touring experience is needed.<br>KIT NEEDED: Ski Touring set up, and avalanche kit (transceiver, shovel and probe)<br>MEETING POINT: TBC in an email before the session. Will be within the Cham/Morz areas but will involve driving out of the valley potentially. 8th March - Glacier Travel Tour Day

Headed up by mountaing Guide Ulrika Asp. The day will involve more complex terrain that will include glacier travel where ladies are put into simulations of follow the leader to practice and build on confidence and leadership roles in this sort of environment. <br><br>This is a touring day that requires a good level of ski touring experience. You have been on a ski tour day with us or similar before as a minimum. <br><br>TIMINGS: 9am - 4:30pm (we might meet earlier, we might end later tbc)<br>LOCATION: Weather & Conditions dependant which will be decided closer to the date. <br>PLEASE READ OUR CANCELLATION POLICY FULLY<br><br><br>
